RIP Cheryl Green

Nanako, Andy & Cheryl onboard Lady Mounts Bay
The Sharpie Association was saddened to hear of the passing of Cheryl Green. Cheryl has supported the Sharpie Association by helping Andy run races at MBSC. She also loved to attend National Titles to support Brendon and catch up with Family and being ready with Coronas for the boys at waters edge. Her smiling face will be sadly missed.

Sunday Cheryl lost her ongoing battle with Cancer. Our thoughts are with Brendon, Paula, Graeme and family.

A Funeral will be held for Cheryl on Monday 17th, 3pm at Seasons Funerals, Albany Hwy Kelmscott, followed by a wake at Central Mundijong football club.

GBYC 3 coronas off the beach winter series

Sunday saw the first scheduled race of the winter series.
A good fleet gathered under the tree of knowledge to prepare, with one notable exception THE BREEZE
so all went home to reconvene next sunday!

Only changes to the format will be an 11 oclock start, so snow can have an extra coffee.
Thanks to Craig (the skipper) for naming the series and maybe he will be supplying the prize???

Dont forget AGM tonight at GBYC club house 1900hrs (7pm)

GBYC Winter series

Hi all
Just a quick note to advise that the GBYC winter series is on this sunday starting at 10 to 10.30 am
Looks like a few starters including the new addition to the fleet "uncle arthur and friends"
unfortunately "ss Minnow" * (Norma) is still out of action. Should be a good day, Sailing is from the yacht club as easier to launch than port geo Snow has it all in hand!!
See you there
Pete C

*ss minnow is a reference to an old TV show that saw the crew stranded with a similar size hole to Norma.
