Winter Hibernation

While some sharpie sailors choose to put their boats to bed for the winter period waiting for some warmer waters there are some sharpie sailors game enough to get their feet wet and keep sailing throughout the winter.

If you fancy getting your feet wet Vita Brevis is intending to sail in the FSC Huck Scott winter series. Dates are on their website and the google calendar on the left.

Also if you feel like a road trip. The Port Lincoln Frostbite series is on the 12th & 13th of June at Port Lincoln Yacht Club Impact and Vita Brevis are planning to drive and expect plenty of South Australian Boats down for the weekend.

Hope to see you out on the water getting cold feet.

Cocktail party

Well from its interesting history the annual sharpie cocktail party has yet again lived up to its name with many sore heads the next morning.

The night got off to a slow start with all but a few deciding to be fashionably late. They must of needed the extra time to finish fixing their rigs!

And we had some extra guests with a few Mounts bay regulars deciding to turn up to join the party and the cherub fleet also joined in and had a banquet of lamb on the barbecue. Go Sam Kekovich.

A very quick informal presentation was made before Mr President became any more unstable on his feet and the night carried on with more drinking, more people and a 1 piece Successor to John butler.

Stories have been filtering in of the water police joining the party later on must of been the music. It was a great way to send out the season and thanks to all who attended.

Please send us your news, photos, video, links to so we can add it to the website.
